Sofia Ramirez is a growing artist completing her Bachelors in Fine Arts December 2019. Her creations are a reflection of her world and encompass reoccurring themes in the universe. These themes include transformation, the balance of energy, the perfect structure of all life, and the connection between all life. Sofia feels that it is her responsibility as an artist to break down these immensely complex ideas into the most basic aesthetics for her audience. She does so by incorporating varieties of geometry, mandalas, and patterning to depict organic patterns. Her love for color fuels the direction of her work. Sofia believes that most beauty is found in the minutiae of life. This belief is translated into her art by paying special attention to demonstrating details in an ornamenting fashion. Ultimately, Sofia hopes to give her viewers a sense of peace and connectivity as they observe her artwork. Just as the process of creating the work was meditative and cathartic in nature for her.
